Overview

46th All India Police Duty Meet is scheduled to be held from 11th to 15th December 2002 in Bangalore and Karnataka State Police is hosting the same. The venue would be the Madivala BMP Complex, Hosur Road, Opp. to Madivala Police Station, Bangalore.

During the Police Duty Meet, various competitions will be held to test the skills of police personals in aspects of Police duties, such as scientific aids to Investigation, Computer awareness, Video/photography etc. Nearly 200o Police Officers and men from different states in the country would be participating in the Duty Meet.

An exhibition to highlight the various innovative uses of  I.T. in police work is being held to this occasion to highlight IT usage in Police work to improve Police Community relations. This exhibition is called POLICE IT 2002.NET. An exhibition of this kind is being held in the country for the first time. It will be formally be inaugurated at 10.00 AM on 12-12-02. The inauguration will be followed by a seminar on "Police IT Initiatives-Problem and Prospects."

The event will be visited by VVIPs, Government officials, Police officers from all over the country, Police I.T. Specialists as well as members of the public including media and members of the public. All the State Police and Central Police organisations would be showcasing some of their I.T. applications in Police Work. There would be theme areas to highlight IT usages in Police work such as recruitment, training, crime investigations, traffic management, law and order duties, Communication, Security, Police administration, court work, Prison Administration, Cyber crime etc.
